Sultan Abdülaziz'e Dâir
Abstract
This work, which is transcribed from original Ottoman script, the period of Sultan Abdulaziz (1861-1876) is discussed. The article written by Ibnulemin Mahmud Kemal Inal, it describes the Ottoman Empire in the second half of the XIXth century and evaluates the conflicts of interest experienced, statesman polemics within the country, the putschist cadre formed against it by the moves of Sultan Abdulaziz. Dec mation of the coup process and the death of Sultan Abdulaziz, who was deposed on May 30, 1876, on June 4 are also among the main issues that the article deals with. Although the author has focused on the “suicide” or “murderer” claims about the Sultan’s death here and has made some statements, he has not been able to make a “definitive” decision about either possibility.
This work of Ibnulemin Mahmud Kemal Inal, has not been subjected to any simplification process while being transferred to modern letters. Some words and conjunctions added to integrate the meaning in the text are also given in square brackets “[]”. The completions and words, the meaning of which cannot be known in the text, are explained by means of footnotes. In addition, footnotes have also been applied to make additional explanations about the persons or events mentioned in the article and each footnote provided by us “(S.Y.)” has been added with the phrase.
